The notions of almost open, weakly open, and almost weakly open functions are discussed in detail. Some distinguishing features of nearly compact topological spaces are highlighted. A detailed description regarding almost continuous, closure continuous,and weakly continuous functions is given. The relationship between the properties of a topological space and those of its semiـ regularization topology is studied. Several salient features of almost locally connected topological spaces are also presented. Effects of almost local connectedness on semiـ regularization topologies are investigated.
