About the Department
One of the oldest faculty of science departments which grants bachelor’s, master, and Ph.D. degrees and is equipped with various support units such as electronic – microscope unit scientific museums (Biological Museum).
Date of Establishment:
Bachelor’s 1393 H, Masters: 1399/1400 H, Ph.D.: 1422/1423 H.
Mission:
Support Kingdom progress by providing qualified cadres.
Vision:
Provide for qualified national cadres in the field of biological science.
Objectives:
1. Provide qualified graduates to take responsibility of scientific research in various biological sciences.
2. To qualify graduates in the different fields of studying animal, plants and microorganism the kingdom, as well as environmental research all over the kingdom.
3. To cope with scientific developments by obtaining latest technology and equipment in the field of biological sciences.
4. To provide government agencies and private organization with qualified national cadres in the different field of biological sciences.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds and peace and blessings of God's creation the best of our Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah, his family and companions either: starts first by thanking God Almighty for by the Yes many of us are innumerable It is the most important blessing of Islam and we know what we did not know. I am also pleased Would like to thank the university administration, led by His Excellency the Rector and owners of happiness and university attorneys for the trust placed in him and when it commissioned the section headed the fields of biology and I hope to God Almighty to eye on the line of duty and that I should be everyone's expectations. And thanks go for teachers who have spoken before assuming the presidency of the Section and was credited them after God in the development section even reached the conclusion reached by now. I would like to thank my brothers and sisters all SABB section of members / female faculty members, lecturers, lectures and demonstrator, repeaters and technicians And professionals and administrators and executives / what to see, and touch of a fruitful and constructive cooperation in the development section and the success of the educational process. The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the present time one of the largest sections of the Faculty of Sciences, which comprises three divisions Division Zoology and Botany Division and the Division of Biology Minute.
